Bookkeeping pricing should reflect the actual work involved. Rates are based on transaction volume, the number of financial accounts, the condition of the records, and the complexity of the services required—not simply the business’s revenue.
Initial Consultation

$100 for up to 60 minutes
The consultation is paid securely in advance through an electronic invoice. We will discuss your business, your current bookkeeping system, the concerns that brought you here, and the most appropriate next steps.
If you engage Clearly Accountable Bookkeeping within 30 days, the full $100 consultation fee will be credited toward your services. If you choose not to proceed, the fee covers the professional time and guidance provided during the consultation.
Ongoing Bookkeeping
Ongoing Bookkeeping
Ongoing bookkeeping is offered through tiered monthly packages based primarily on transaction volume and the number of bank and credit-card accounts requiring reconciliation.
*Businesses exceeding 200 monthly transactions or eight financial accounts will receive a customized monthly quote.

Transaction review and categorization
Monthly reconciliation of included bank and credit-card accounts
Review for missing, duplicated, or unusual transactions
Monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports
Identification of recurring bookkeeping or workflow problems
A consistent process for submitting records and resolving questions
Reasonable email communication related to the monthly bookkeeping
Additional Volume and Services:

Additional transactions: $3 each
Additional financial accounts: $75 per account per month
Additional or out-of-scope work: $100 per hour
Cleanup and catch-up work: quoted separately
A financial account includes any bank account, credit card, loan, payment processor, or other account requiring monthly reconciliation.
Package pricing assumes the books are current enough to begin ongoing service. Any cleanup required before monthly bookkeeping begins will be scoped and quoted separately.
Your monthly rate will be confirmed before services begin. Work outside the agreed package or scope is discussed and approved before additional charges are incurred.

The following services are available when they are not included in the agreed monthly scope:
Accounts payable and bill management: Starting at $250 per month
Customer invoicing and accounts receivable support: Starting at $250 per month
Class, location, or project tracking: Starting at $100 per month
Pricing depends on volume, frequency, complexity, and the level of involvement required. Any applicable software, filing, payment-processing, or other third-party fees are billed separately. Add-on services and pricing are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Bookkeeping Cleanup
Cleanup projects are custom quoted because no two sets of books require the same amount of investigation or correction.
Cleanup projects begin at $500 for 5 hours.
Pricing may be affected by:
The number of months or years requiring attention
Monthly transaction volume
The number of bank and credit-card accounts
Missing, duplicated, or miscategorized transactions
Unreconciled accounts
The quality and availability of supporting records
The amount of investigation required
The complexity of the existing bookkeeping system
Following the initial consultation and review, you will receive a clearly defined scope and project price. Cleanup work does not begin until the scope is approved and the service agreement is signed.

If a project reveals work outside the original agreement, you will be notified before that work begins. Additional work is never added without discussion and approval.
